- The 1918-D is a median rarity among early date Walking Liberty half dollars, being more challenging to locate in Mint State than the 1917-D Obverse Mintmark, 1917-S Reverse Mintmark, 1918-S and 1927-S. Given the scarcity of higher graded examples in today's market, this handsome BU example represents excellent value for the astute collector.
