R-7+ 4-6 minted. Struck in aluminum with a plain edge. At first glance, this looks like a silver cameo proof. It is unquestionably aluminum. Unusual for an aluminum coin, the mirrors are ultra deep and beam from all over; they are also crystal clear and are amazingly clean. Only using a really strong glass can you see the Mint made die lines. Miss Liberty and every detail are thickly frosted and have crisp full strikes. The eye appeal is amazing! PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. This is the FINEST KNOWN J-854 (we could not agree more). Mr. Simpson paid $8,750 for this coin when he purchased the gigantic Pattern Collection in 2008 for $36 Million.
