详细说明: Ex Fairmont Collection, as noted on the insert. A truly amazing example of this conditionally RARE early Motto eagle. An underrated rarity in all grades, only 8,000 were struck and about 80-100 are thought to survive in all grades; this one is tied for SECOND FINEST GRADED with just a single MS61 (the Eliasberg-Bass coin) graded finer at PCGS. This is a fantastic coin. Despite the light wear, this 70-S $10 retains a wealth of luster in the fields and a crisp definition to the devices. A thick, honey-gold patina with soft olive accents attest to the totality of this coin's originality and we rate the coin to be exceptionally HIGH END for the grade. Light contact is seen on both sides, but the surfaces are really clean for the issue and the eye appeal is a delight to behold! PCGS 3, NGC 1, CAC 1. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $40,000 and the single finest has not sold in auction in 22 years. Even the David Hall- Bob Simpson Coin was only a AU55.
