(1974)-D Eisenhower Dollar--Struck on a Philippine Peso Planchet--MS-63 (NGC). 14.5 grams. A highly lustrous olive-gold example of this scarce mint error type, resulting from the accidental use of a Philippine peso planchet in the striking of an Eisenhower dollar. A few wispy chatter marks are noted on each side, but the Select Mint State status of this piece seems undeniable.
