- 1797 Draped Bust Cent. S-141. Rarity-4. Reverse of 1797, Stems to Wreath. VF-25 (PCGS). Warmly and originally toned in dominant medium copper, glints of faded rose are evident in a few isolated areas on the reverse. Well centered in strike with most design elements boldly rendered for the assigned grade, mentionable softness is confined to the letters LIB in LIBERTY and the opposing area at the lower left reverse border. Wispy marks scattered about are commensurate with the assigned grade, and there are no individually distracting blemishes. A scarce die marriage of the issue at a highly collectible level of preservation. Breen Die State III. Provenance: From the William L. Buxton Collection.
