详细说明: Lot 392 1854 N-6 R1 PCGS graded MS64 Brown, CAC Approved.The obverse is lustrous light olive and medium brown while the reverse is darker steel brown and chocolate with mellowed mint red covering the protected areas (about 20% of that side). No contact marks, only a few small spots including one on the rim at star 6, another between the U & N in UNITED, and a final one inside the lower part of the O in OF. None of these spots is distracting and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. MDS, die state b. There is a small lump under the end of the nose and the die lines from the dentils at star 2 are dull with only a few still visible. Our grade is MS62, tied for CC#4 in the Grellman census. Comes with a nice provenance. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the PCGS label. PCGS population 2; 3 finer: 2 in 65, 1 in 66.
