- R-7, 7-12 Minted. Barber's Liberty Head with Headband inscribed LIBERTY behind starless diadem. Standard Silver reverse. Stuck in copper with a reeded edge. We do not doubt that coin is a fully original GEM. We are not sure why CAC did not bean it. Deep and glittering mirrors really beam a full, blazing red from all over. Only using a strong glass can you find a few light flecks scattered around. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have crisp, razor sharp strikes. The eye appeal is fantastic! PCGS 1, NGC 1. This is the most recent example to sell in auction, bringing $4,800 in April 2018. The PCGS coin is the Simpson Collection piece. Bound for a great collection of Standard Silver pattern issues.
