1863 Pattern Indian Cent. Judd-299, Pollock-359. Rarity-3. Proof-65 BN (NGC). This transitional pattern exhibits the obverse and reverse designs of the regular issue 1863 Indian Cent. Struck in bronze, however, as adopted for regular issue Cent production in 1864. Plain edge. Medallic alignment of the dies, as typically seen for the Judd-299 type.<br />     Both sides are fully struck with a richly original copper-brown sheen. A solidly graded and attractive Gem with no detracting blemishes.
