- FRANCE. Franc a Pied, ND (20 April 1365). Charles V (1364-80). NGC MS-63. 3.81 gms. Fr-284; Dup-360; Ciani-457; Laf-371. Generally well struck, the important design features, including the depiction of the king as well as the legends, appear sharp with the latter running off flan just a touch on the reverse. Attractively colored as well with a rich golden hue throughout that imparts a strong appearance of originality.
