- FROM THE TRZASKA COLLECTION What an interesting variety, one that is not well known except to dedicated specialists of this series. This is a muling of the regular issue Proof obverse die, with a reverse die that was used to strike Pattern shield nickels. This reverse was used to strike Judd numbers 476-479; 500; and 507-509a and can be attributed by the placement of the star above the T and S in CENTS. Bold and flashy mirrored fields have a brilliance on both sides. This high end PR63 CAM has a few contact marks that keep the grade limited to the assigned grade, but the eye appeal is quite nice for the modest grade. The frosted reliefs stand out in bold contrast to the surrounding fields. PCGS 1, NGC 0, CAC 1. This is a hard coin to value, based on its rarity and infrequency seen in auction. A PCGS PR64 (non CAM, no CAC) sold in September 2014 and we sold a PR65 CAM non-CAC for $6,756 in our September 2015. PCGS does not have an assigned value in any grade and this is a very RARE and desirable piece that bridges mainstream collecting and something specialized like Patterns. Cert. Number 37598570 PCGS # 519407
