Pleasing quality throughout, this Gem grade early Seated Liberty dime has a crisp, sharp strike and warm pewter-slate with light blue and rose toning on both sides. A radiant, glowing luster has a brilliant underlying sheen. Nothing but the most superficial line or two can be found with a strong glass. A series of really cool die cracks on the reverse add to the allure. PCGS 18, NGC 23. The last example to sell brought $1,900 in an internet only auction in November 2019 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $2,350. Scarce any finer, this early date offers a lot to the collector on a more modest budget, these do seem like a great value. Cert. Number 38994161 PCGS # 4571.00
