详细说明: 1880-CC Liberty Head Half Eagle. Winter 2-C. AU-58+ (PCGS). CAC. Just a whisper away from Mint State, this premium quality example is near-fully lustrous with a lovely frosty texture. Razor sharp striking detail and undeniably original honey-gold and pale pink colors provide further appeal. The mintage for this issue is 51,107 pieces, a generous total for a pre-1890 Carson City Mint half eagle, and the 1880-CC is one of the more readily obtainable issues in this mintmarked gold series. On the other hand, the typical survivor is well worn, usually in VF or EF grades, and even in properly graded AU-50 the 1880-CC can be difficult to locate. This upper end Choice AU is one of the nicest examples available to today's CC-Mint enthusiasts, and is among the highest graded to meet with CAC approval.
