Both sides are bathed in bright, vivid mint color in light pinkish-rose. Razor sharp striking detail and silky smooth surfaces are also praiseworthy attributes, but what truly sets this coin apart from the vast majority of Proof 1937 cents is the finish. It is boldly cameoed and features strong contrast between highly reflective fields and softly frosted design elements. One of just 9,320 Proofs of the date struck in the second year of Proof coinage after the hiatus in such production that occurred from 1917 to 1935.
