详细说明: 1873 Liberty Seated Half Dollar. No Arrows. Close 3. Proof-66 Cameo (PCGS). This is a simply outstanding specimen that offers exceptional eye appeal and superior technical quality for the type. Vivid midnight blue and reddish-copper peripheral toning frames silver-tinged centers, both sides readily revealing bold field to device contrast as the surfaces rotate under a light. The strike is razor sharp throughout, as befits the method of manufacture, and the in hand appearance is virtually pristine to uphold the coveted premium Gem rating from PCGS. The 1873 No Arrows is the final Proof Liberty Seated half dollar struck to the 12.44-gram weight standard, the Act of February 13, 1873 increasing the weight of this denomination slightly to 12.50 grams. While not particularly rare in an absolute sense, survivors from this 600-piece Proof issue are seldom offered any finer than Proof-64.
