- Lot 415 1854 N-29 R3 NGC graded MS66 Brown.Frosty light olive and bluish steel brown with 5-10% of the mint red remaining visible, mostly on the obverse. No spots or stains, only a few small marks including a light scuff on the forehead above the eye, another in the field right of star 2, and a pair of small nicks on the truncation above the right side of the 8. MDS, die state b, with doubled clashmarks from the left top of the O in ONE. Our grade is MS62+, tied for CC#4 in the Grellman census. The attribution and COL Ellsworth Collection provenance are noted on the NGC label.
