FROM THE SAND HILL COLLECTION. Our consignor bought this stunning "GEM" AU58 from our September 2015 Regency Auction, lot 195, where we described it as: "Stunning color and luster! First year of issue and handsome as this coin ever comes with deep blue and crimson peripheral toning changing over to russet and gold toward the centers. The strike is sharp enough to bring up the knobs on the eagle’s claws and each of the radial star centers. An absolute delight to behold and destined for an advanced Liberty Seated Dollar collection." PCGS 31, NGC 44, CAC 8. ONLY 3 coins are graded AU58+ and we have had the pleasure of selling two of them; this one was the only CAC-approved one, realizing $6,169 in September 2015. Since then, a non-"+" AU58 PCGS/CAC sold in March 2016 for $6,463. This coin is worthy of a very strong bid from the everyman collector or really anyone looking for a stunning PQ Seated Dollar that will not break the bank! Cert. Number 31985913 PCGS # 6926
