- DUPLICATES FROM THE BLACKCAT COLLECTION Ex Harry W. Bass, Jr. Collection, as noted on the insert. WOW, WOW, WOW! We adore this coin! What a magnificent tiny jewel! Longacre's famed Indian Princess Seated Liberty design on the obverse with the Standard Silver reverse. This is an interesting coin without a country design type, as neither the obverse nor reverse say UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. A Rarity-7- pattern, (7-12 struck) in copper with a reeded edge. This is an interesting design, as it is Longacre's, but struck two years after his death. Apparently William Barber struck these and were sold in complete Proof Sets from half dime to dollar. Bright and flashy mirrored brilliance beam and gleam from below a delicate layer of multihued iridescent toning. Shades of blue and orange pop in a light. The devices are razor sharp in strike with complete definition to the design elements. What this coin might lack in size, being only a half dime, it makes up for in HUGE quality! Ex Julian Leidman, via private sale to Harry W. Bass, Jr on September 16, 1971; Bowers & Merena's May 1999 Sale of the Harry W. Bass, Jr Collection, Part I, lot 1078; Bowers & Merena, March 2001 (Cabinet of Lucien M. LaRiviere, Part II), lot 1021; Superior's Pre Long Beach Auction, January 2004, lot 3402; Stack's Bowers, March 2020, lot 4478; Blackcat Collection. PCGS 1, NGC 1, CAC 1. This coin sold for $5,760 in March 2020 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $6,500. We like this coin as much as the PR67 RB ex Newman coin we recently sold as part of the Glorious Patterns Collection. Worthy of a strong bid, and placement in another WORLD CLASS Pattern collection. Bass-Blackcat, what else do you need to know!? Cert. Number 5501078 PCGS # 61325
