This coin is freshly graded, having been in an old collection, and this coin certainly has the look of having been in an old holding. Close examination reveals some ancient light hairlines from an old cleaning, that has generally recovered after long term storage in a cardboard page, which imparted rich peripheral toning. PCGS 2, NGC 2. While we do see evidence of cleaning, the eye appeal is not bad. The only other coin has appeared 3 times in auction, the most recent time in a February 2013 auction, where it realized $6,169. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $6,000 and we would not be shocked to see this coin sell for a level close to that. Bound to attract attention from early dollar specialists. Cert.
