Tied for FINEST GRADED In the RB category at PCGS, this coin has all the bells and whistles to attract not just the advanced EAC specialist, but type collectors, GEM Proof collectors, and people who just appreciate amazing coins! Considered to be Low Rarity-5, about 100 examples were struck from the N-5 die pairing, all Proofs. This is a visually amazing example boasting mostly RED mirrored surfaces that are ultra flashy and reflective. Violet, magenta, and golden overtones attest to the originality and impart an amazing visual allure. The fields are icy smooth and quite sleek. The devices are exceptionally SHARP, with crisp, knife-like definition. Clearly care was taken in the production of this GEM and care was taken by every owner since it left the mint 165 years ago!
