Ex Shireman and Hugon Collections. Among the FINEST KNOWN 1895 half dollars; indeed, only a single MS67 is graded finer at either service. Smooth, satiny lustrous surfaces boast a vibrant mint frost on both sides. Sharply struck up on both sides the eye appeal is further enhanced by an icy blue, cool lilac, and pale gold that grace both sides. The eye appeal is very high end. PCGS 10, NGC 5, CAC 6. There are four coins graded MS66+ and just a single MS67 graded finer. This remarkable and beautiful coin sold in the 2016 FUN auction for $9,400 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $8,000. The MS67 has never been sold in auction, making this probably the FINEST example that is obtainable for the advanced collector. It graced two great collections, and now it can grace yours! Cert.
