- Tied for second HIGHEST graded at PCGS, this SUPERB GEM has a lot to offer the advanced collector. Only 8 coins have ever graded higher, all MS68. The present coin as a thick, satiny mint frost that shimmers with a pearly sheen. Mostly untoned with just a few splashes of golden iridescent toning. Sharply struck devices stand out boldly and the surfaces are free from all but the tiniest, insignificant ticks that are well hidden among the devices. The eye appeal is excellent. PCGS 255, NGC 148, CAC 89. PCGS has graded 31 in MS67+ and just 8 finer in MS68. The most recent example to sell brought $4,200 in April 2021 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,000. Not a PCGS MS68 will cost mid-five figures. Good luck. Cert.
