FROM THE TOMMY JOHN COLLECTION An Uncirculated example of this semi-KEY date. A full, blooming mint luster is brilliant and satiny across the devices. This date is famous for its weakly struck devices, but this one was pretty well struck (relatively speaking). Even the head shows some definition, and the shield is more than 75% complete. A band of golden iridescent toning forms a halo around both the obverse and reverse. The eye appeal is quite nice, and any collector looking for a Mint State example will delight in this one. PCGS 1, NGC 7. The last one to sell was back in November 2016, were one brought $4,230. This coin has been off the market since April 2006, when it sold for $4,313. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $5,250. An important coin that is quite rare any finer. Cert. Number 302899-002 PCGS # 5764.00
