FROM THE SAND HILL COLLECTION. B-6c. This variety is always seen with traces of the design of the cut down Talbot, Allum, and Lee cents that were supplied to to the mint as planchet stock. You can see some of the details to the left of the date and above STATES. A very popular early half cent issue that shows off strong definition to the details. The deep brown tones are even and the surfaces show only the most minor roughness. The eye appeal is excellent for the grade, and this CHOICE VF is a perfect collector grade coin. PCGS 18, NGC 8. The last one to sell in auction realized $2,644 in February 2018 and prior to that one, there was one that sold in November 2015 for $2,820. The current PCGS Price Guide value for the grade is $2,800, but we believe this coin will sell for more--it is THAT nice! Cert. Number 4996134 PCGS # 1018
