From the Chester Roche Collection. A lovely GEM three cent silver. Brilliant, satiny, untoned silver frost glows on both sides. Sharply struck from heavily clashed dies. A really neat looking coin that aside from the clashmarks (mint made), the surfaces are clean and free of any distracting marks. The eye appeal is very nice. PCGS 31, NGC 28. The last NGC-graded MS67 to sell in auction realized $3,760 in April 2017. That coin was deeply toned. This three cent silver is a very popular Civil War issue and among the finer pieces known. Cert.
