Delightful and totally original surfaces adorn this handsome near-GEM example of the last year of the Stars obverse type. Satiny lustrous fields glow from below a slate-blue and russet-tan patina. Sharply struck and generally very clean, this is a great type coin for the collector. PCGS 20, NGC 33, CAC 3. The only CAC-approved MS64 sold over a decade ago in the 2010 FUN auction. The most recent PCGS-graded coin sold three years ago, realizing $1,175 in February 2017. Clearly these do not appear with frequency and this is a good opportunity for the collector. Cert.
