详细说明: The 1927-S quarter boasts one of the LOWEST mintages of the entire series with just 396,000 struck. Not only is this date scarce in all Mint State grades, but is notorious for its pancake flat strike. This GEM is a very pleasing exception to how these typically come. This is a particularly lustrous GEM example with a strong brilliance. Again, for the date, the strike is about as complete as you can realistically ask for. Save for the slightest softness of Liberty's hairline and two of the brads on the shield, this coin is essentially fully struck up. There is a touch of a pale, pearlescense that gives this GEM a great look. PCGS 48, NGC 21. The last one to sell brought $9,988 back in September 2016 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at at $12,500. NOTE, more recently a PCGS MS64 sold for $10,200 in February 2020. Seriously a strong contender for a great set. Keep in mind that a Full Head example is a five figure coin in th lowest Mint State grades, and in GEM, as here, approaches a $200,000 price tag!
