详细说明: What an impressive borderline-GEM example from the final year of the Seated Liberty dollar series! This remarkable and very CHOICE Proof, housed in an earlier generation NGC "Fatty" holder and has a wonderful, old time and classic toning on both sides. Borderline CAMEO contrast on the obverse is seen between the glittering mirrored fields and the well struck, frosted devices. The reverse, likewise shows some claims to CAMEO at certain angles. The totally original splashes of multihued toning gives this lovely example a fantastic look. While careful inspection with a strong glass reveals a tiny line or two, and the central reverse displays the usual softness at the eagle's wing, the eye appeal is very high end for the assigned grade. Only 600 Proofs were struck. PCGS 32, NGC 40, CAC 4. The most recent CAC-approved example sold in our September 2019 Regency Auction for $5,758. The only NGC/CAC coin was the Rev. McClure coin that brought $9,400 back in June 2016. The current CAC CPG value is $6,940 and the Collectors Universe value is listed at $8,250.
