FROM THE YOUNG-DAKOTA COLLECTION Outstanding quality everything, this 1894 is among the FINEST graded at PCGS. Icy, deeply mirrored SUPERB GEM has great clarity, depth, and bold reflectivity in the fields which accent the totally original toning. A wonderful mix of blue, olive, gold, and violet colors swirl vividly on both sides. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have pinpoint sharp strikes. The eye appeal is gorgeous! Only 972 Proofs were struck. PCGS 8, NGC 18, CAC 6. Our consignor bought this beauty in our October 2014 Regency Auction for $7,050. Just two PR67+s have been graded higher at PCGS in the non-CAM designation, neither of which have ever sold in auction.
