- ECUADOR. 8 Escudos, 1856-QUITO GJ. Quito Mint. PCGS AU-53 Gold Shield. Fr-8; KM-34.2; Onza-1776. The coin exhibits a bold central strike with good definition of the fine details displaying signs of moderate handling consistent for the grade. Nice honest wear is present as would be expected from the designated grade with minor contact marks and abrasions. Light debris is noticed in the crevasses of the legends lending to its originality with fire yellow tone hugging the outer devices. A lovely representative of the type sure to garner much attention.
