- THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION PART II THE FINEST KNOWN example of this Rarity-7- "transitional pattern." Always popular these were struck for collectors, featuring the regular issue Proof obverse and a reverse with the motto GOD OUR TRUST in a ribbon above the eagle. Struck on a bronzed copper planchet with a reeded edge. The uspatterns.com website states that the bronzed copper examples are restrikes. The surfaces are AMAZING quality, ultra clean and free of any kind of marks, lines, discolorations, or anything that would have an impact on the eye appeal, mint made or otherwise. The fields are incredible and the devices are very sharply struck up. The entire coin is evenly toned in a reddish brown, common for any mint product that was bronzed. The eye appeal is great. PCGS 0, NGC 1. We cannot find this coin as having a previous auction appearance. PCGS has graded a single PR67+ BN which also has never appeared in auction, but has a PCGS Price Guide value of $10,000. We know bidding for this coin will see very strong action when it crosses the block. Good luck Cert. Number 4478145-006 PCGS # 12102
