详细说明: What a marvelous near-GEM half cent! When rotated in the light, the frosty mint luster brings out ample amounts of original mint red color, steely blue, pale olive, and mahogany hues combine with an overall soft chocolate brown patina. Boldly struck, Liberty’s hair details and drapery lines are fully defined. Likewise, the leaves on the reverse wreath are also fully rendered. The fields are completely smooth, free of any roughness that so often can be see on these early half cents. While one of the most common 1804 varieties, this Cohen-10 is certainly close to the condition census. PCGS 9, NGC 3, CAC 5. The famed Missouri Cabinet piece was a 64+ BN CAC that realized $6,900 in January 2014 had a few more tiny ticks and lines (and a rather noticeable carbon fleck on the reverse). This coin is highly appealing and will excite anyone looking to add a near-GEM early half cent to a high end type set or collection of Half Cents. Since the ONLY PCGS MS64 BN to sell was a C-1, which is a much scarcer variety (realizing $21,850 in the Missouri Cabinet sale), the PCGS Price Guide value of $5,500 is irrelevant; we think this coin will bring more!
