FROM THE SYMPHONY COLLECTION. Quite lustrous and appealing. There is really little actual wear on this coin and the grade can be accounted for by the numerous small surface marks that are typical of Double Eagles of this era. Full mint state examples will likely look very similar. PCGS 125, NGC 219. The PCGS Price Guide lists the value at $1,930. Last auction recorded a price of $1,560 in August 2018. Sliders such as this coin and low Mint State coins are available, but the number of coins at MS62 or higher drops dramatically and the price jumps. A perfectly acceptable coin for the date and one that would fit nicely with a $20 Liberty date set. Cert. Number 83579586 PCGS # 8988
