- A premium quality and richly toned GEM example of this popular first year variety. Lustrous surfaces belie the warm, envelope toned beauty. Wonderful cherry-red at the peripheries melt into sunset-orange, then finally to an olive/lilac hue at the centers. The devices are sharply struck up. There are some minor ticks on either side that account for the assigned grade, but they have ZERO impact on the outstanding visual allure. PCGS 478, NGC 103, CAC 51. There are 37 in MS65+. The most recent PCGS/CAC MS65+s have sold for an average of $4,326 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is $5,250. We think this coin will sell for a strong bid!
