THE BOYLSTON COLLECTION, PART IV An exceptionally eye appealing near-GEM Proof! Wisps of electric blue and soft apricot-rose toning grace the highly reflective, deeply mirrored surfaces. A couple of hairlines in the fields are all that are keeping this coin from and even loftier grade. The design details are sharply struck up and are enhanced by deep mint frost that imparts a great Cameo contrast. Only 600 Proofs were struck. PCGS 16, NGC 7, CAC 5. The most recent example to sell was in our April 2021 sale of the Boylston Collection, Part I, that realized $3,055 against an estimate of $1,300-$1,600. The current CAC CPG value is $2,060 and the PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $4,000. Just a dozen examples are graded finer in the CAM classification.
