This richly toned GEM clearly ranks among the highest graded at PCGS and is a high quality, totally original example. Ample reflection, coming from watery textured mirrored fields are smooth and flashy in a light. The fields are generally smooth, free of serious defect and lovely clarity despite the deep toning. When caught in the light at certain angles, a wonderful melange of blue, violet, and orange-red hues blend neatly on the obverse, while the reverse has an iridescent gold over the silver in the center, yielding to an azure band at the rim. The eye appeal is excellent. Only 950 Proofs were struck. PCGS 22, NGC 14, CAC 6. the last one sold for $9,600 in the 2018 ANA auction, and it did not look like this one! The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $11,000 and the CAC CPG value is listed at $11,200. Just a single PR65+ and two PR66s have graded higher at PCGS and NOTE: none of the 66s have garnered CAC approval. As such, if you are working on a PCGS/CAC set, you need this coin! Good luck. Cert.
