THE XANNO COLLECTION While common in low grades, thanks to a 28+ million mintage, this date is RARE so fine, extremely so graded any higher. An incredibly bold, lustrous borderline SUPERB GEM Civil War date copper-nickel Indian Head cent. As you rotate the brilliant surfaces in a light, accents of, semi-reflective Prooflike flash. Remarkably clean and free of any marks, there are some scattered flecks noted under careful scrutiny with a strong glass. The strike is sharp, and the eye appeal it very high end. In all a very attractive example. PCGS 110, NGC 35, CAC 32. PCGS has graded 17 examples in MS66+ and an equal number finer, the finest being a single MS68. The most recent PCGS MS66+ CAC sold for $3,840 in May 2022, well above the current Collectors Universe value of $3,150. The PCGS Price Guide jumps to $10,000 in MS67.
