- 1881 Morgan Silver Dollar. Proof-64 (NGC). An exceptionally vivid specimen that really needs to be seen to be fully appreciated. Most viewing angles reveal rich olive-charcoal peripheral toning around reddish-rose and pewter gray centers. Direct lighting, however, calls forth intense undertones of reddish-gold, sea green, cobalt blue and salmon pink iridescence. Striking detail is razor sharp throughout the design, and the eye appeal is exceptionally strong.
