- 1891 Morgan Silver Dollar. Proof-64 (PCGS). CAC. Iridescent cobalt blue, antique gold and lilac-rose undertones backlight dominant olive and pearl gray patina on both sides of this undeniably original specimen. Smooth in hand, there is much to recommend this coin to the Proof type or date collector who appreciates richly toned silver. A bit lightly struck in the centers, a curious feature for a Proof, but one that is common to Morgan dollars of the 1888 to 1893 era. Proof mintage: 650 coins.
