- A very pleasing and lustrous near-GEM 16-S $20. From a mintage of 796,000, the 16-S was the last $20 mintage until 1920. Scarce in MS64 and finer grades, this lustrous example has a rich orange-gold patina and no serious marks. We do not see anything major that would preclude CAC endorsement, and the eye appeal is very nice. PCGS 1782, NGC 1406. The most recent examples sold in the $2,880 to $3,360 range and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $3,750. RARE above MS65, this is a great coin to add to any gold holding. Good luck.
