- 1916 Lincoln Cent. Proof-65 BN (PCGS). From a Proof mintage for the date of just 1,050 pieces, according to the 2023 Redbook, the lowest Proof tally for any date in the series, 1909 through 1916. This year also marks the end of Proof Lincoln cent coinage until 1936, as well as the end of the Matte Proof finish; in 1936 brilliant Proofs were introduced. A beautiful cordovan-brown example that displays an absolutely full strike and a high wire edge on both sides. An important opportunity for an advanced Lincoln cent aficionado.
