- 1799 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-158, B-16. Rarity-2. VF-30 (PCGS). CAC. A poster child for what a completely original, problem free, mid grade early dollar is supposed to look like. Rich olive-charcoal patina blankets both sides with iridescent undertones of cobalt blue and deep rose on the obverse. Smooth and inviting overall with plenty of bold detail remaining in the recesses of the major design elements. Difficult to improve upon in a circulated example of the type, date or die pairing, this PQ 1799 S$1 is worthy of the strongest bids. BB Die State I.
