THE MERIDIAN COLLECTION OF PROOF BARBER DIMES A very high end and exquisite quality PR67 CAM, deserving not just the assigned grade from PCGS but also the CAC bean of approval. Everything about this coin is spectacular. Flashy reflective mirrors beam boldly all over on this lovely SUPERB GEM. Splashes of pale gold and iridescent toning grace the obverse with somewhat deeper patina across the reverse. Accents of the original brilliant silver surfaces gleam from below the patination. The watery and sleek mirrors beam boldly, creating the great Cameo contrast. Only 622 Proofs were struck. PCGS 3, NGC 3, CAC 4. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $6,500. This is the only one to have sold in auction, realizing $4,935 in the May 2015 Sale of the Gene Gardener Collection. Only three are finer for the date at PCGS, all PR67+ CAM.
