- 1876 Trade Dollar. Proof-63 Cameo (PCGS). CAC. Brilliant apart from a blush of pale rose iridescence in the left field, the obverse contrasts somewhat with a golden-tinged reverse. Both sides are fully struck with good field to device contrast. Popular now as then, the 1876 is the trade dollar's Centennial year Proof issue. Attractive survivors, as here, are more challenging to locate than those of the more highly regarded Proof-only issues of 1878 to 1883. PCGS# 87056. NGC ID: 27YM.
