1847 Liberty Half Eagle. MS-63 (NGC). 1890-CC Liberty Half Eagle. Winter 1-A, the only known dies. MS-62 (PCGS). CAC. Especially bright and lustrous for this early date half eagle, and the surfaces are splendidly free of handling marks. The strike is sharp and the obverse die shows a thin crack bisecting it through the 4. Pleasing for the light yellow-gold color with a hint of russet.
