详细说明: We absolutely ADORE this SUPERB GEM! Clearly this gorgeously toned 1880 Proof dollar is among the VERY FINEST KNOWN of the date. One casual glance and you will be in love too! A gorgeous mix of deeply variegated blue, teal, and violet tones mingles with a sensation blend of rose and orange-salmon, before yielding to a brilliant center on the obverse. The colors really knock you out. On closer inspection, the depth, vibrance, smoothness, and brilliance of the underlying mirrored fields really pops, especially when rotated in a light. The surfaces are ultra clean, free of any distractions from the outstanding visual allure. This coin is TOTALLY original and very high end for the grade, everything about this coin is appropriate for the lofty designation. PCGS 23, NGC 29, CAC 7. There are just five in PR67+ at PCGS. This is an old friend, a coin we named "Blue Velvet" when we first saw it back in November 2018; back then it sold for $18,213. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $21,500. There are a mere four coins graded higher in the designation, and a PCGS PR68 CAC sold for $38,168 back in the 2015 ANA auction--that was nearly seven years ago!
