FROM THE TRZASKA COLLECTION An impressive SUPERB GEM Proof 1874 nickel with icy brilliance and an exceptional quality reflectivity that entices the viewer with a bold eye appeal. Sharply struck devices stand out against the mirrored surfaces. Totally original and boasting a great eye appeal, this SUPERB GEM is worthy of any high end set. Only 700 Proofs were struck. PCGS 19, NGC 4, CAC 7. The most recent PCGS/CAC example sold in our June 2019 Regency Auction for $3,290 and the current PCGS value is listed at $3,500. Just 2 are graded PR67+, and none have sold in three and a half years. One of those is CAC approved and is being offered on the market privately for $5,500, a 10% premium over the CU value.
