STUNNING TONED GEM PROOF TRADE DOLLAR Extremely sharp strike with fully squared rims. The obverse and reverse fields both exhibit incredible reflectivity, and show no evidence of any contact even with a powerful glass. The original multi-colored toning is breathtaking; beginning as red-gold in the centers, and progressing through violet-blue towards the peripheries, the color is spectacular and spellbinding. PCGS 4, NGC 16, none higher. Listed in the PCGS price guide at $22,500. Last auction record for an NGC coin was $15,275 in August 2015.
