From our Regency Auction V, December 2013, lot 140, where it was described as: "Totally magnificent! You can tell the collector who consigned this coin had a very good eye. The mirrors are super deep, crystal clear, incredibly reflective, and have amazing clarity. A killer mix of original golden brown/ honey/ blue/ pale green swirls all over. Miss Liberty and the details are frosted a silvery white and have needle sharp strikes. This is a really special 1907 Proof Barber Half!" Only 575 proofs were struck. PCGS 18, NGC 36, CAC 7. This coin is the only CAC-approved example to sell in auction, realizing $4,600 in the December 2013 Regency Auction. The Proof Barber half dollar values have come down since then, BUT, this beauty's eye appeal and high end quality will vault it to another very strong final bid! Cert. Number 25365406 PCGS # 6554
