1800 Draped Bust Silver Dollar. BB-194, B-14. Rarity-2. Bowers Die State II. Dotted Date. EF-40 (NGC). This is a mostly slate-gray example, although closer inspection does reveal subtle powder-blue and reddish-pink outlines to some of the devices. We see no abrasions of note on either side, and a general boldness to the detail is another praiseworthy attribute. Softness of strike at the tops of the letters ERTY in LIBERTY on the obverse is diagnostic of this intermediate die state. Popular <em>Guide Book </em>variety!
