1894 Barber Half Dollar. Proof-65 Deep Cameo (PCGS). Rare as a format for an early Barber half dollar as precious few of these qualify for the Deep Cameo designation, especially so in Gem condition. The mintage trickled over to 972 pieces for the year, and while most survived in some form or another, PCGS has seen just <em>three </em>examples that have earned their Deep Cameo designation. Fully brilliant surfaces with deep white frost on the devices which are boldly offset by the glassy reflective fields.
